Summer Camp Half Day Program

Long Island Rowing offers weekly summer Half-Day sessions for novice and experienced youth rowers in 7th – 12th grade who cannot attend a full day summer session.

Novice rowers who have recently completed one week of a full day camp session can hone skills learned and experienced rowers can train for competitive fall programs. The elements of our Half Day Program are basically the same as our Full Day Sessions in that rowers will be split into groups of experienced or novice rowers and train accordingly within the half day time frame.

Session Times:

Monday - Friday: 9:00am-12:00pm

Weekly Sessions:

Session 1: June 27 - July 1
Session 2: July 5 - July 8
Session 3: July 11 - July 15
Session 4: July 18 - July 22
Session 5: July 25 - July 29
Session 6: August 1 - August 5
Session 7: August 8 - August 12
Session 8: August 15 - August 19
Session 9: August 22 - August 26

Requirements:

  • Half Day rowers must have completed at least one (1) session (week) of the Full-Day program
  • Payment in full for 1st session
  • Passing the swimming test given on the first day of camp
  • Must be entering the 7th grade or older
  • Registration is online

What To Bring:

A change of clothing is needed for the first and second day for after the swim test. A swim test with clothing on will be required to begin the program.
