Welcome to Long Island Rowing Club...

Long Island Rowing offers training and competitive rowing to High School students of Suffolk County. Male and female students from the ages 13 and up are invited to join. Members train out of the former boathouse on the Coindre Hall Estate, a historic Long Island structure in Huntington Harbor next to Goldstar Battalion Beach. No experience is required. We only ask that you bring a desire and determination to be part of one of the premier high school rowing programs on Long Island.

"Rowing is a non-contact multigenerational sport that builds environmental consciousness. The sport offers a complete cardiovascular workout without impact. It takes immense discipline to be a part of a rowing crew; the effort develops character and fosters team-building techniques critical in today's business marketplace. Rowing helps prepare young people for the challenges that are ahead of them, through focus, responsibility and integrity."
